She must have been short on food preparation time ;)

My very educated mother just served us nachos. . .

I know, I know! Where did Pluto go?? The poor thing. He must be feeling so dejected. Shall we send him a card?

Hey! I almost sent you that article. :-) I guess you already saw it! Did you see the cartoon?

I felt bad for Pluto, to tell you the truth. It seems like "Survivor: Universe" to me.

Susan, that is great! I had not seen this mnemonic. I remember learning my planets in second or third grade with the old, "My Very Eager Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas."

I guess now we can tell our hypothetical future children some day, "Well, back when I was a little girl we had nine planets." And they will say with eyes wide in disbelief, "Wow, Mom you must be really old!" ;)

Lydia, you literally made me laugh out loud! But what can I say- we are old!! ; )

And Ashley, I think you're right. Somebody out there is prejudiced against little planets with disabilities, and they vote them out of the solar system whenever they get the chance. The poor guy. :`(

I love that cartoon, Ashley :). And I really think we should write a group card to Pluto, Jessie. Great idea!

Lydia, I learned my very educated mother just served us nine pickles, so yesterday Mother Dear and I were trying to think of a food that starts with an "n." Mom thought of nachos, so credit must go to her :).

Wow, Mommy. You used to believe that there were nine planets? *childish giggling* Did you also believe the earth was flat?

Susan, you are a riot! Sadly, I think the flat earth comment was supposed to attributed to me in a derogatory manner. Just go back and look at my profile. I guess people don't recognize hyperbole when they see it. You would think the big all caps "NOT" would give it away but people must be more dense than I realized. :)
I thought about changing it, but what's the point? Anyone can come up with anything to use in discrediting your views if they are really wanting to.

So, I guess you saw the comments from Enchne (sp?) of the Snakes? I thought about giving you a heads-up but figured, "why bother?" It won't change anything and it's not something you need to take note of for your benefit so I let it go. Crystal is the one who tipped me off to it.

Keep doing what you're doing. I think you are great and your writing is superb. You don't have to answer to those folks in the end, anyway.

That's my reasoning. :)

On the other hand, it kinda' makes you want to say really off the wall stuff just to see what kind of reaction you could get from people. I'm so ornery sometimes. ;)

That's funny! My flat earth comment just above was completely unrelated to the Echidne of the Snakes thread. It fit perfectly here, though ;). And yes, I read that thread several weeks ago. *shrug* It's amazing how out-of-context my post was taken, but it didn't bother me.

Hmmm, good theory on the flat earth. But they really took your profile out of context, if that is the origin!

I still think its just a cover up.
The Death Star is systematically destroying our solar system and there's nothing we can do about it.
